My experience with the Credit Union and how GAP worked went very smooth. It is the best $200 upfront cost that we financed into our car loan. Had never gotten GAP on any car till I financed my 2012 Chevy equinox. My wife hit a deer, and insurance totaled it out and the difference in what insurance paid and what we owed was I think $8000. Gap insurance paid the $8000 and paid off my loan without question. I will never finance a car without it again. The process with the claim which the Credit Union walked us thru it and it’s simple.
