Giving Back
Strengthening Our Community Together.
Giving back is part of who we are. Through volunteer efforts, local partnerships, and community programs, we're proud to support the people and organizations that make our community thrive.
Our Community
Credit unions were founded on the principle of “People Helping People,” and at Education Personnel Federal Credit Union, we consider that mission a priority. We believe in giving back to our community. We are member-owned, and we are always striving to put our community first – because that’s the community most of our members are a part of. Throughout the year, we give back to our community through our time, services and finances.
As a credit union, we take great pride in helping our members find the path to financial success. We often recommend ways for our members to help build their credit, get their finances under control or even help them through a financial crisis. We care about our members and their needs, so we make it a priority to help them through the good times and bad.
Giving Back to Our Community
At EPFCU, community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in supporting our neighbors and making a positive impact through various initiatives.
Biannual Loan Promotions
Twice a year, we offer special loan promotions exclusively for our members. These promotions feature reduced interest rates and are dedicated to supporting local causes.
Spring Promotion: Benefits the Bobette Steely Hegeler Cancer Care Center, helping provide vital care and resources.
Fall Promotion: Supports the EPFCU Food Pantry Fund, assisting families in need within our community.
The Giving Fence
Located at our drive-thru at 101 W Main St., our Giving Fence is a simple way to spread warmth this winter. We invite everyone to donate coats and winter essentials—just hang them on our fence! These items are then available for community members who need them, helping everyone stay warm during the colder months.
Our Team’s Commitment
Our staff is dedicated to community service. In 2025 alone, they contributed a total of 261 volunteer hours across numerous local events, including First Fridays, school programs, CARA, Kiwanis Pancake Day, and many more. Their involvement reflects our ongoing commitment to giving back.
If you know of upcoming events or volunteer opportunities where we can lend a hand, please reach out to our Marketing Specialist, Tarryn at [email protected]. Together, we can continue making a difference.
Thank you for being an essential part of our community!
